Kendra Kapotak and the Dillingham High School Lady Wolverines came up short in the first game of their weekend twinbill with rival Bristol Bay on Friday. Despite double-digit outings from Kapotak and Sue Lee, the Dillingham girls suffered a 58-30 loss.

A perennial state power, Bristol Bay took control of the game early on. The Lady Angels pounded out a 12-6 cushion in the first quarter. They blew the game open in the second by reeling off a staggering 21-5 spree. Bristol Bay took a 33-11 lead into the half.

Dillingham managed to get its offense in gear in the fourth quarter. The Lady Wolverines scored almost half of their 30 total points in the final eight minutes.

Kapotak led all Dillingham scorers in the contest with 17 points. She also collected nine rebounds. Sue Lee also scored into double figures with 10 points. Theresa Williams added three.

Results of Saturday's series finale were unavailable at press time.
